AspireCRM in the Community
On the 1st May 2019, Richard & Jeanette, Directors of Aspire CRM made a kind donation to local charity Padley. Their donation included brand new t-shirts, joggers, hoodies & tracksuits.
“We saw an appeal from Padley saying they had a shortage of these items and we decided that we wanted to help. It can be a real struggle for people to buy the items that they need in the current climate, especially the homeless. At AspireCRM, we feel very strongly about giving back into the community, so we were happy to answer Padley’s appeal. We hope that our contribution reaches far and wide within Derby.” Jeanette, AspireCRM Business Development Director.
Marckas Jamal from Padley told us: “This contribution is invaluable in enabling us to continue delivering services to the most vulnerable in our society. This donation will be used to support the delivery of our Day Centre, the only Day Centre in Derby providing:
- somewhere warm, dry and safe for vulnerable men and women;
- to use WC;
- have a shower;
- get a nutritious cheap (free if they have no income) meal;
- get a change of clothes or wash their own clothes;
- access a dentist; a podiatrist; a hairdresser; a CPN;
- potential housing providers;
- access drug and alcohol services and when ready;
- obtain the support needed to make positive life changes.
There were over 24,000 visits to our Day Centre last year and currently we are experiencing numbers of over 120 people on some days. We prepared over 10,000 meals last year and averaged over 300 cups of tea a day. We already offer free food to all on a Sunday and are currently averaging around 13 food parcels each day being distributed to those in need. Despite nearly all of the food we use being donated through our Harvest and other donations from our corporate partners and the good people of Derby, it costs us around £100 per hour to open the day centre with enough staff to keep everyone safe and provide support to those that require it 365 days a year.
Without this type generosity our services to people who are experiencing homelessness, social isolation and insecurity would not be here.
